STAY MOTIVATED – No 2 Sessions Are The Same!

 

Fitter Body Boot Camp was started by Ricky and Alexandra Knight due to the growing demand of frustrated women that are fed up with starting new diets or fitness programmes and then stopping. When he looked into the reasons why this happened, it was very apparent that it is mainly down to boredom and lack of resutls.

They looked into the various options that women had available to them and the main reasons that they would stop or not even start a programme:

  • Running – boredom / safety
  • Gym – boredom / lack of variety, intimidation, unsure of how to use equipment, lack of results
  • Fitness Classes – boredom / lack of variety, lack of results
  • Swimming – boredom, lack of results
  • Outdoor Bootcamp – mixed groups, too physical, too wet / cold / windy / dark
  • One to one Personal Training – too expensive

What became quite clear when analysing the responses above was that if everyone could afford a Personal Trainer then they would have one. The reason for this is that most (and by no means all) will make sure that the sessions are varied (to prevent boredom), will provide accountability and motivation (to help achieve goals and results), and will provide nutritional guidance (to also compliment the exercise to help improve results).

The ‘lightbulb moment’ was when he figured out a way to provide all of the benefits of one to one personal training but in a small group setting so that the cost per person can come right down and overcome the main reason that people don’t use a personal trainer – cost.

It’s amazing how much results in anything (not just exercise and fitness goals) increase dramatically when people are made accountable to someone else.

Fitter Body Boot Camp is a fitness programme that provides all of the benefits of one on one personal training but by running the actual workouts in a small group structure the cost is significantly lowered.

The bootcamp started off working out in a local park, then moved into rented premises at the Far Cotton Boxing Club and now due to the phenomenal success has moved into it’s own premises with a seprate gym and coffee area. There is lots of brand new equipment just for women that includes battling ropes, and a 50 foot strip of astro turf for pushing/pulling different weights!
